I can hardly believe it! We’ve been at this for 15 years. I know I’m not the only one who wonders where the time went! Since we’ve opened: we’ve graduated 3 kids from high school, celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary, had 4 German Shepherds come and some go, learned a WHOLE bunch about business and a bunch more about medicinal plants and supplements. We’ve moved the store once and business has grown and changed. The internet has changed many things about doing business and getting information – both accurate and false. And perhaps most frightening is the concerted attack on all of our organic way of life. It has never been more dire or threatened. I never thought I would see folks arrested for selling raw milk or financially destroyed for saving seeds. I also never thought it could possibly become illegal to buy and sell medicinal plants. So keep an eye on congress and also codex to see how all of that plays out….But anyway, we continue to fight the good fight and celebrate our 15 years of providing good food, produce, supplements and information.
To celebrate our birthday, we are offering 15% off different items every day through September. The sale items will be posted in the store and advertised on this site. On September 23 & 24 we will hold our Birthday Party with cake, samples and goody-bags. Also on those days Jackie will be doing 2 free seminars. Your Herbal Medicine Chest, where I will discuss items I consider essential to have on hand for every day ailments and minor injuries, held on Fri @ 3:30 and Sat @ 1:00. And then there is The Medicinal Weed Walk where we will explore the local back alleys, vacant fields and river walk to see what nature might provide for our use, Fri @ 5pm and Sat @11am.
